To sum it up, Pureit is a reputed brand that offers a wide range of high-quality and affordable water purifiers.

Pureit Vital Max: Specifications & Features

The Pureit Vital Max is a feature-loaded water purifier – its key features include:

Storage Capacity

This unit can filter 24 Litres/Hour, the Pureit Vital Max purifier is optimal for a family of 4 to 6 members. Its storage tank can hold up to 7 litres of water at a time, so you don’t have to worry about running out of clean drinking water.

Recovery Rate

In a water purifier with an RO system, the amount of filtered water recovered during the purification process is called “recovery.” The Pureit Vital Max has a recovery rate of 60%, which means for 1L of water used, you get up to 0.6L of purified water.

Pump type

The unit is equipped with a diaphragm pump that operates at 24V dc, making it more efficient while using less power. This pump makes it a great pick for buildings with lower water pressure.

Membrane type

This RO + UV water purifier has an NSF Certified composite spiral wound membrane. The spiral shape is not only space-efficient, but it also provides more value per membrane area. The spiral shape makes the membrane robust and reduces operating costs.

TDS Reduction Capacity

The Pureit Vital Max can reduce TDS up to 2000mg/litre.

TDS is the “total dissolved solid” present in water. The impurities present in water can be in the form of suspended particles or dissolved solids. Regions that have hard water generally have a high TDS level. The more TDS in the water, the less safe it is to consume.

To reach ideal TDS levels, the TDS in water must be below 150 ppm.

Most purifiers will simply lower the TDS levels drastically below 50 ppm. This makes the water taste odd and removes all the essential minerals. On the other hand, the Vital Max lowers the TDS to the consumable range ideal for daily consumption and retains all the necessary minerals.

Power Consumption

The maximum power consumption of the Vital Max is 42 watts, which is quite standard for a RO+UV water purifier as it does not significantly strain your electricity bill.

Pressure Rating

The pressure rating of a water purifier denotes the amount of water pressure that the system can withstand to function properly. The Vital Max has a pressure rating of 10-30 PSI, which means it can also work in areas with low water pressure without needing an external pressure pump.

Voltage

The Pureit Vital Max RO+UV+MP water purifier operates at a voltage of 100-240 Va.c. 50/60 Hz (100-300 Va.c. 50/60 Hz).

Material

The Pureit Vital Max water purifier is made of food-grade durable plastic, which makes it safe to use.

Cord Length

The cord length for water purifiers is not a vital specification, but the Pureit Vital Max has a 1.5-meter power cord, which should be sufficient as long as a socket is nearby.

PS: The meter in the image measures in cm

Dimensions (W x H x D)

The Pureit Vital Max water purifier is 14.4″X11.8″ X12″, and its square shape looks contemporary while fitting nicely in a corner or on a countertop.

Weight

The Pureit Vital Max water purifier, when empty, weighs 9.5 kg. The tank capacity is 7 litres, so the maximum weight of a full tank would be 13.5 kg. So overall, it is quite light and easy to install on the wall.

Colour Variants

The Pureit Vital Max RO+UV+MP water purifier is available only in black and blue shades. Unfortunately, there is no light colour option available in this model. (All images in this review are of the blue coloured model).

The 7-Stage Filtration Process

One of the most striking features of this purifier is its 7-stage water filtration process. This is a multi-stage filtration process that further cleans the water. The steps include

Stage 1: The water passes through a pre-filter that captures large dust particles, rust, and silt. This improves the overall life of the membrane and makes it last longer. Good for regions where the TDS levels are above 500 ppm.

Stage 2: After the water passes through a Pre-RO carbon filter where chlorine and other unwanted chemicals are removed from the supply. This also helps preserve and elongate the lifespan of an RO membrane.

Stage 3: This stage’s water passes through a mesh filter that eliminates any residual suspended particles in the water to make it easy for the RO membrane to purify the water.

Stage 4: The water then passes through a semipermeable RO membrane that eliminates up to 99% of the water’s impurities. At this stage, nearly all contaminants, including dissolved salts, heavy metals, and harmful chemicals are removed from the water.

Stage 5: A UV chamber is present in the 5th stage of the filtration process. This chamber exposes the water to UV light that destroys any harmful bacteria or viruses that may be present in the water.

Stage 6: After the UV treatment, the water passes through an activated carbon post-filter. This removes any residual taste or odor from the water.

Stage 7: The water is pushed through a carbi trap at this last stage to remove any free-floating carbon particles. After that, it’s stored in the tank, ready for use.

This 7-stage filtration process is more reliable than other RO water purifiers on the market.

Care and Maintenance

The Pureit Vital Max water purifier is easy to maintain due to its inbuilt membrane cleaning feature, and it lasts almost twice as long as other water purifiers – up to 6000 litres.

Cleaning the Unit

  • You can clean the dispenser nozzle with disinfectants and then discard a minimum of two litres of water after cleaning the unit.
  • To clean the exterior of the unit, use a dry cloth. Do not use any cleaners that might scratch or damage the surface. Do not use scrubs or detergents.
  • Do not splash or pour water directly on the purifier to clean it.
  • Never try to open the unit for cleaning or maintenance, as it may void the warranty.

Cleaning the Sediment Filter

  • First, close all valves and remove the water inlet attached to the sediment filter.
  • Then, rotate the sediment filter clockwise to open it. After that, remove the grey carbon sleeve and the sediment filter from it.
  • Use your hand to clean the sediment filter under flowing water and eliminate all the dirt and grime.
  • To reassemble your filters, rotate the cover anticlockwise back into place until it is fixed. Once finished, connect the water inlet and turn on the valves.
