Best Gaming Laptops Under ₹90,000: Reviews & Buying Guide

Gaming Laptop Under 90000

Things to consider when buying a gaming laptop

When shopping for a gaming laptop under 90000 rupees, there are a few things you need to keep in mind.

  • At first, you’ll want to consider the type of games you plan on playing. Some laptops are better suited for specific genres than others. For example, if you’re into first-person shooters, you’ll want a laptop with a faster refresh rate. If you are into adventure games, a display with higher resolution and good color reproduction will be better suited.
  • You should also keep upgradability in your mind as you won’t be buying a new one too soon. Some laptops offer a good level of upgradability, while some offer limited access to components.
  • Another thing to consider is how portable you want your laptop to be. Laptops designed for gaming tend to be bulky and heavy, so if you plan on taking your machine with you on the go, you may want to opt for a lighter and more compact model.
  • Finally, you’ll need to decide what features are important to you. Do you need a backlit keyboard?  Make sure to select a laptop that has features that appeal to you.

Here’s a list of laptops we have curated for you. We will now review each one, with all its advantages and disadvantages. We will then provide you with our recommendations.

Top 10 Gaming Laptops Under 90000 in India: Product Reviews

This is a Ryzen 6000 series processor-powered HP gaming laptop with a price tag of less than 90000 rupees. HP’s gaming laptops haven’t had much success in the Indian market. However, this year’s line will change that. So, can this computer disrupt the video game industry?

Design: The HP Victus 16 has a minimal design with sharp edges and muted colors. HP Victus looks more like a supervillain’s laptop than a gaming machine. The body is entirely made out of plastic but feels sturdy. HP’s persistence in making less E-waste is coming in strong with this laptop. A good amount of recycled plastic is used in this laptop. The bottom panel has a lot of ventilation, and a big rear vent is present to push out hot air from the back of the laptop. It has a full-sized keyboard with a proper Numpad. The trackpad size has increased from last year’s model.

CPU: This laptop features the 6th gen Ryzen 5 6600H from AMD. HP Victus 16 is a 6-core, 12-thread processor based on the zen3+ architecture. This CPU runs at 3.3Ghz & can go up to 4.5Ghz. This is an upper mid-tier processor from AMD. It is relatively faster than similar mid-range offerings from intel.

RAM: With the 6th gen Ryzen CPU comes the latest DDR5 RAM. This laptop has 8GB of DDR5 RAM and runs at 4800Mhz. You can upgrade it to 32GB as two ram slots are available. However, the 8 GB RAM provided on this laptop is disappointing as other machines in this price point come with 16GB RAM preinstalled.

Storage: The laptop has a 512GB PCIe gen-4 M.2 SSD. This new PCIe standard will have a transfer speed of up to 16GB/s, double that of PCIe 3.0 Std. Another M.2 slot is also available for expansion.

Graphics: The HP Victus 16 comes with the new Nvidia GeForce GTX 3050. This GPU is based on the new Ampere architecture from NVidia. It has 4GB of GDDR6 VRAM & a TDP of 60W.

Display and Screen Size: The display on this laptop spans 16.1 inches in size & has a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080p. The panel used here is an IPS panel with an anti-glare coating. It covers 45% NTSC Color Gamut. The screen is quite fast, with a refresh rate of 144Hz & a peak brightness of 250 Nits. The display has thin bezels. Unfortunately, this is not a color-accurate screen.

Battery: This laptop has a 70Wh battery with a 4-cell design. HP claims up to 11 hours and 45 minutes of video playback on this battery. In addition, the laptop comes with a 200W Smart AC Adapter.

Connectivity: The Laptop has the latest WIFI 6 AX module from MediaTek and the latest Bluetooth tech with BT 5.2. There are faults with some specific network units.

Ports: The laptop features a good amount of I/O connectivity. It has 1 USB 3.2gen1 Type-C port (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort 1.4, and HP Sleep and Charge), 3 USB 3.1gen1 Type-A ports, and 1 HDMI 2.1 output with 4k@120Hz, 1 Gigabit Ethernet Jack, 1 AC smart pin & 1 headphone/microphone combo.

Extra Perks: The laptop features an SD card slot.

Design: This Asus TUF Gaming Laptop has a modern design with a metal lid & honeycomb design on the bottom panel. It comes in two color choices Eclipse gray and graphite black. MSI has come up with a new gaming laptop in the form of the Katana. This is by no means a  budget-friendly option; this falls under the mid-tier gaming segment, which ranges around 90000 rupees in India. Let’s have a look at the device’s characteristics and see how it compares to the competition.

Design: This MSI Gaming Laptop is similar to the MSI Sword 15 we covered early. The only difference is the color choice. This laptop has an all-black look with a red backlight on the keyboard. Despite being a 17-inch laptop, the Numpad on this machine isn’t that good, and the key placement is cramped. The weight of this machine is 2.6Kg, which is light for a gaming laptop of this size and Specs.

CPU: The only laptop in this list with an Intel core i7. It is powered by the i7 11800H, an 8-core, 16-thread CPU. It is based on the intel’s 10nm process. It runs with a base frequency of 2.3Ghz and can be boosted up to 4.6Ghz.

RAM: The MSI Gaming Katana GF76 laptop has 16GB of DDR4 RAM, clocked at 3200MHz. This laptop includes two RAM slots that may be used to increase the memory to 64GB.

Storage: A 512GB PCIe gen-4 M.2 SSD is included with the computer. By replacing the existing drive in the laptop, you may expand storage to 2TB. An HDD Drive slot is also available.

Graphics: This laptop has the GeForce RTX 3050-ti from NVidia’s newest lineup. This is the better and updated version of the RTX 3050. It has 4GB of GDDR6 video memory.

Display and Screen Size: The massive 17.3-inch display on the MSI Katana features a 1920 x 1080 p IPS panel. This display can go up to a 144Hz screen refresh rate.

Battery: This laptop has terrible battery life. A 53.5Wh 3-cell Battery powers it. It may provide you with 3-4 hours of regular usage time. However, when playing games, the battery lifespan drops to less than 2 hours. A 150w ac Adapter is included with the computer.

Connectivity: WIFI 6 & Bluetooth 5.2 are also available on this laptop.

Ports: 3 USB 3.2gen2 Type-A ports are available on this device. Another USB 3.2gen2 Type-C port is also included. HDMI 2.1 is accessible. There’s also an Ethernet connection provided here.

Dell has also come up with a budget-friendly gaming laptop named the G15 5511. Dell is pushing hard with its gaming lineup, this machine has good specs with decent room for upgradability.

Battery: It includes a 56Wh power source. It has a three-cell design. This equipment’s battery life is not great. The laptop features a 180W AC Adapter as standard.

Storage: A 512GB PCIe gen-4 M.2 SSD is included with the laptop. This new PCIe standard will have transfer speeds of up to 16GB/s, double that of PCIe 3.0 Std.
